Global Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By downloading, installing, accessing, or playing SudoMurder: Logic Mystery (also known as SudoMurder, hereinafter referred to as "the Game", "Application", or "Service"), you enter into a legally binding agreement with Diego Yarza ("we", "us", or "Developer").

Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age of digital consent in your country of residence) to play the Game. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. License Grant & Prohibited Uses

Limited License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to download, install, and play the Game for non-commercial, personal entertainment on authorized Android devices.

Prohibited Actions: You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or game algorithms of the Game.
• Modify, hack, exploit, or create unauthorized tools, bots, cheats, memory editors, or automation software.
• Bypass or circumvent any digital rights management (DRM), Google Play Billing mechanisms, or security measures.
• Copy, distribute, sell, lease, or commercially exploit any artwork, audio, character designs, logic puzzles, or game text without express written consent.
• Use the Game or support channels to send abusive, unlawful, or spam communications.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Game—including but not limited to all source code, software, visual assets, 2.5D artwork, character portraits, logic puzzle designs, storylines, sound effects, user interfaces, branding, and trademarks—are the exclusive intellectual property of Diego Yarza.

4. In-App Purchases, Virtual Items & Subscriptions

A. Processing & Billing

All financial transactions, in-app purchases, and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing v9 under Google Play's Terms of Service.

B. Virtual Items (Hint Packs & Special Collection DLCs)

• Virtual Items (such as Hint consumables or unlocked Special DLC Collections) are licensed to you on a limited, revocable basis for in-game use.
• Virtual Items have no monetary or cash value, cannot be redeemed for real money, and are non-transferable between accounts or players.

C. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions (Detective VIP Pass)

• Subscription Benefits: Unlocks unlimited access to all present and future special DLC collections, ad-free post-level navigation, and daily bonus hint rewards.
• Billing Cycles: Subscriptions are offered on Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly billing periods as displayed in the game shop.
• Automatic Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle at the current stated price unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the expiration of the current period.
• Payment & Charging: Payment will be charged to your Google Play Account upon confirmation of purchase.
• How to Cancel: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's Google Play Store settings: Google Play Store → Profile Icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

5. Refunds & Statutory Consumer Rights

A. Google Play Refund Policy

Because all billing is handled by Google Play, refund requests are governed directly by Google Play Refund Policies. To request a refund, please follow Google Play's official refund procedure.

B. EU & UK Statutory Consumer Rights (Right of Withdrawal)

If you reside in the European Union or United Kingdom, consumer protection regulations entitle you to a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. However, by purchasing digital content (such as Hint Packs, DLC Unlocks, or VIP Pass Subscriptions) and initiating immediate access, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that digital fulfillment begins immediately, and you waive your statutory right of withdrawal once digital delivery or content unlocking has commenced, as permitted under EU/UK consumer law.

C. Local Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any statutory consumer guarantees or rights that cannot be lawfully excluded under your local national legislation.

6. Daily Cases & Online Services

Certain features—such as fetching the worldwide Daily Case via https://sudomurder.com/api/get_daily_case.php or synchronizing Cloud Saves—require an active internet connection.

Online services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, update endpoints, or modify online features at any time without prior liability.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

A. Warranty Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

B. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER (DIEGO YARZA) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME.

IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY ARE RESTRICTED, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR IN-GAME PURCHASES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00 USD), WHICHEVER IS LOWER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Diego Yarza from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Game.

9. Specific Jurisdiction Terms

A. European Union / United Kingdom

Consumers in the EU/UK may access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Mandatory local consumer protection laws of your country of residence shall apply.

B. United States

Dispute Resolution & Class Action Waiver: To the extent permitted by law, all disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis, and you waive any right to bring or participate in any class action, collective lawsuit, or representative proceeding against the Developer.

C. Australia

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms overrides your consumer guarantees under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain and the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain, except where local consumer protection laws mandate jurisdiction in the consumer's home court.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective & Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Game following notice of modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
